The process
Applying is a project in itself.
A State Department grant is not one form. It is a chain of U.S. government
systems — Login.gov, SAM.gov, Grants.gov, MyGrants —
each with its own account, its own identity checks and its own idea of what
a European organisation looks like.
They have to be completed in the right order. Get it wrong and a registration
sits in review for weeks; let one lapse and a finished application cannot be
submitted. Most teams find this out a few days before the deadline.
